brushwud, if the convertible notes are convertible at $37 a share, doesn't it make sense for AMD to buy them back at $105 or $110 per $100 now rather than let them be converted into $230 of AMD stock?

At what price are the notes selling?
BTW, thanks for that excellent explanation! Now I know there's no FDIV error in the Duron!
