You better hope they're sandbagging about the 1 Ghz in 2002. Although, for big iron a lot matters besides just the clock speed. Will be interesting when we finally see this thing in action and see some benchmarks.

BTW- AMD's 64-bit effort, code named "Sledgehammer" will debut at 2 Ghz in 2001. Dirk Meyer (the man, the myth, the legend) is in charge of the effort so I have no doubt it will be a huge success. Maybe SUNW and AMD should get together on this one?
