Mark, a month or two ago a thread was created here
on SI for this type of discussions, and both gold
and silver companies are its focus.

Please do not take my reference here as me asking you
to take this type of posting off this thread as I am
not suggesting that. My reason is that I read that
other thread and I would gain more info there because
those in the know about this topic would engage you
more fully there than here.

To change the subject to events that may have that
gold price influence, the following happened yesterday.

But first, the Gold Anti Trust Action (GATA)
web site of gata.org has included
in it's Whats New page an article from the
Chairman of GATA, Bill Murphy, that he wrote on
the Le Metropole Cafe's pay per view web site
and I hope that this piece will be replaced with
the current status of GATA's trip to Washington D.C.
as highlighted by the following.

[Start.]

GATA Delegation Makes Significant Progress in Washington.

On Wednesday... Gold Anti-Trust Action Committee
consisting of Chris Powell, Reginald Howe,
Frank Veneroso, a State Senator and Bill Murphy
met with one of the most powerful politicians
in Washington...

... the "Gold Derivative Banking Crisis" document....

... meet with Dr. John Silvia,
the Chief Economist of the Senate Banking Committee...

Frank, Reg and Chris did a terrific job
(as they did in all the meetings) explaining...

... passed out 88 of the documents to the
staff of all the Senators and Representatives
on the banking committees. They were told
to look for an open letter to all of them
in Monday's Roll Call.

... Congressman Lee Terry of Nebraska
could not have been nicer and said
he would read the document on his way back
to his native state this weekend.

... I made the mistake of... Big booboo.

... opinion of the entire Gold Anti-Trust Action
Committee delegation that the trip was far more
fruitful than any one of us dreamed possible...

If yesterday's meetings were any indication
of making a serious impact on those who count
in Washington, the other side has their work
cut out for them!
