I do not think any human can sort out what is knowable from what is not- if there is such a thing as knowable.

From all I have ever seen, and all I have ever read, I think I see trends among given populations- in terms of agreement on "civilized" living- but they are only that- trends.

The folks arguing to keep Elian in this country are the only ones who seem to know so much about the world and other people's business that they are willing to separate father from child. I believe such divisions call for the wisdom of Solomon- being SURE you are correct to terminate a boy's life with his father and connection with the country of his birth seems fairly egomaniacle to me. So perhaps you are right- and there are egomaniacs here. Thanks for pointing that out. Or maybe it was just projection again.
