Yes, there are a lot of good ideas for alternative fuels, but the oil powers: OPEC, our oil companies and others will fight tooth and nail to keep oil as a main source of energy. Survival is a strong emotion.

I think the oil industry is finally coming around a bit. At least they are investing more time and money into alternative fuel technology, realizing that if they don't someone else will control it and they will be cut out.

This is one of those areas where the private market solution must be coaxed by the public sector. Energy independence is a national security priority. It permits us to pick and choose those fights which threaten US national interests.

Btw, I don't know what the "blue print independence" project is.
