Joe, I hate to interrupt your train of thought here(g). I just wanted to point out the annual shareholder meeting will be held on 5-16-00 at Hillsboro, Oregon. Hope someone can attend and report here.

As far as the stock price. Remember we are in a bear market. Higher interest rates and lower pe's. Seventy five percent of all stocks fall in a bear market. No difference this time. Alan Greenspan is dead set to slow this economy down. The danger is he will go too far put the U.S. in a recession. I believe the threat of this is better than 50-50. If this happens the tech stocks will continue to get hit hard due to less business. RSYS could drop into the 20 again. I hope this doesn't happen as I am long in everything I own. Long term ride it out and be real careful with margin.

I didn't hear the last CC. I understand though the Artic business was down due to less orders from IBM. This should have been expected as why else would IBM sell a division only to continue to buy as much from another company. The good thing is Artic has had time to develop design win elsewhere. We might have had a blowout quarter otherwise.

Telecommunications is still the sweet spot of RSYS's business and will be well into the future. The nice thing is they can play both sides of the present and coming 3g buildout. With Lucent they can work with the CDMA side and with Nokia the W-CDMA side. Here we're in batting practice of a nine inning game. Also ready for any GSM business as well. I also think the Alcatel press release could be a future large source of revenue and profits. One day they might even take IBM's spot in the top five largest customers.JMHO. Even further out don't forget ATT wireless. If they have to scrap the TDMA system, and buildout a form of CDMA, Lucent and RSYS will be right there.

And last don't forget the semi-conductor business. AMAT's CEO Morgan said last week 24 new fabs will be built in the 2000-2001 range. We still get large design win in that area. All in all things are looking brighter. This is one stock I wouldn't sell short long term.
