SAF: Well the shorting of PALM plus the lack of PALM buyers (makes more sense to buy COMS to get PALM) is the reason PALM has dropped to where it is. And it's taken COMS with it, so in that sense the arbs have had a significant effect on COMS, and they've been able to establish their long positions in COMS on the cheap without pushing up the price. I have the feeling that the drop from 32 to 25 in PALM has us either at or close to a bottom. If I'm right and the PALM downside here is small or zero, the only real plays now are on the one side - buy COMS stock, or buy COMS/PALM calls. David T.
