Engineer. Thanks for the explanation of available internet addresses. I am not totally clear, but my take based on what you said is that the problem has been addressed. I guess the next issue is whether it will be implemented in time---and surely, with so much at stake it will. I suppose this means that the net will function a while longer without a massive switch to 64 bit computers. JohnG
