Carpe, I think we are saying the same thing from different perspectives. I agree with what you see. . .when I said weak volume. . .I mean that volume on Tuesday would be weak. . . leading up to the Fed meeting. . . typical. But after the Fed meeting, I expect a modest rally. . .with volume tapering off after a short time.

The trick to whether we could see a rally to get us back to 3800 or 400. . . is whether enough buyers can come out of the woodwork to sustain such a rally and push the Naz over some resistance humps, which could attract more buyers and get some momentum going. I rather doubt it. But I think we have mostly defined the highs and lows of our trading range. . . sorry.

So I am staying light . . . and playing my usual swings. . .until I see a real sign of buying strength on volume. But I honestly don't see it happening. . .and expect the rally to be short-lived as volume slows. . . and I think we will continue with our slow decline of the best stocks [no need to play the mediocre stocks. . .when all the big gains are in the best-of-the-best. . .look at INTC, GLW, PMCS, JDSU, etc.]. . . and a continuation of the trading range already defined for the indices.

And once again, I'll be looking to buy GLW at 165, etc. etc. . .so I can sell it at 198 again. . .and again. . .
