Still dabbling in TA, I stole a look at Barron's today and see that specialist short sales are up strongly in the latest NYSE release. That's the most nearly infallible indicator of a short-term downtrend that I know of. All the momentum things mean nothing whatever, but those guys often a have a feel for what side of the market to be on.
