Copyright law is much less debatable than Jackson's interpretation of the Microsoft case. I don't think anyone is claiming that our government's copyright enforcement is misinterpretation of the law. Many scholars and legal experts do claim that to be the case with the DOJs current action.

Have you been to Hong Kong recently? Microsoft software, and most all popular software titles are still available in pirated forms for free or close to it. This is not a problem unique to Microsoft, it is a problem for the entire software industry. The only areas where it is of little concern are titles unusable without company support, free titles, or software that is not popular enough to make it worth copying.
