Victor, I've read that before but it wouldn't bother me like it should bother the credit-card
companies...Aren't they the ones who would be left holding the bag?


Credit card firms have found the security to be resonable enough for them to take the risk. The consumer in many cases does not know they are only liable for the first $50. The credit card firms are receiving an additional 50 basis points on average discount fee for on-line purchases so they are making good money on this.
