Vons was the supplier for the tainted beef which caused the E. Coli poisonings a few years back, which led to Jack-in-the-Box's sharp decline in sales and revenues. Jack-in-the-Box took all the heat while Vons shared none of the ill-consequences or public blame. They must have had a much better PR agency! FM is suing Vons over loss of business incurred as a result of their tainted product. That's about all we know so far, but the case is scheduled to come to trial in July.
