Haqihana, I can't agree. Weapons accidents have been with us as long as weapons have. It's possible to construct a scenario in which a responsible, caring adult gives inadvertent access to a firearm, and then manure occurs. We need to mentally allow for such a possibility. Kids get run over by cars all the time, and it isn't always by drunks or idiots. We don't blame the car in that instance.

I'm not disagreeing to argue. But I am extending your observation and I could see it being used by un-gunners like this: "OK, if even one gun kid accident happens, then people are unfit to have guns." I am trying to pre-emptively derail such an argument.
