On the Newbie @ @homesick...fyi From The Fool by DNAtlanta #34384 Just thought I'd offer some personal insights on Byron Smith, the new guy at Excite/AtHome. I've actually known the guy both personally and professionally for over a decade now, since we first worked together way back in his Pepsi days. He may be new, but the guy is smart. He's also the kind of leader that can really hyper-energize an organization like excite/athm. In every new assignment (and he's probably averaged a new one every 12 months) he's made a huge impact on the direction of the organization. Yeah, he'll still need to get up to speed a bit more on the nuances of the industry, but he'll be running at the head of the pack in no time. Excite/athm's got the lead position in this game, and I'm confident Mr. Smith will make sure they stay there. Just some thoughts . . .
