Hmmm. Let me see if I understand this. White house employees can't get clearances, so they work on temporary waivers for years. Big money pours into presidential campaigns from China. Mr (Dr?) Lee suddenly finds that his security precautions are unacceptable at about the time that Sperry gives missile guidance info to China. Charlie Trie (sp?) gets admitted to classified Executive Department meetings, without a clearance, but with a suitcase of money. State Department meeting rooms have listening devices installed, and they manage to lose a computer classified "Shhhhh!" in one of those rooms. The FBI reports that many journalists are known spies, which seems to be a big shock to Congress. The Secret Service has known for quite some time that White House phone calls are being intercepted.

DIA (oops, DIS <g>) can't keep up with the clearances for a DOD that is only 2/3 the size it used to be when the wait time for a BI/SCI used to be about 2 months.

Yup. Sure sounds like just a random series of events. No connection whatsoever, wot? This "most ethical administration in history" clearly has the concerns of the nation and national security foremost in its priorities. And clearly plans to save us all by registering guns.

Sheesh!
