the ref in the jones-hall fight was a bit late with the stoppage. some might say way late.

now i'm a big fan of giving a man a chance to prevail... but hall (whose heart alone weighed 100+ pounds) was no longer in a position in that fight to do anything except die or suffer brain damage.

the competitiveness went out of that match quite awhile before it was stopped. and there in the last minute, it got scary.
