Folks, I'm beat! The conversation has been really enjoyable. My thanks to tekboy and the others who have joined me, and to anyone who has taken the time to read these latest posts.

If after reading the discussion that took place this Saturday nite you believe that I might be too fervent in expressing my beliefs about long-term investing, there is more than a good chance that you're absolutely right. My way works for me mostly because it makes sense to me. If it doesn't make sense to you, find something that does and stick to it!

I truly believe that anything worth doing is worth doing to excess. The corollary is that if it isn't worth doing to excess, it's probably not worth doing at all. Don't hold me to interpreting either of those statements literally, but you get the point.

I'm not infallible. I try to regularly remind people when I get into these discussions that my portfolio sank 25% in 1998 when the S&P 500 went up 20% not including reinvested dividends. Though I'm proud that I've more than doubled the market over the last ten-and-a-half years, please, please do your own research and don't make any investments based on anything coming from my keyboard.

'Night all!
