Disinterest? I doubt it!

My suspicion is that we've all become a bit complacent and have been depending on WillC to do the heavy lifting on the analysis of CTQ. While that may not describe the rest of the crowd here, I'll have to admit that I've enjoyed the free ride on Will's efforts.

Well, evidently, it's time for someone to try to take up (some of) the slack. I'll also admit that I can't provide the insight into geology that Will and some others here have -- although I did pass Geology 101 (aka Rocks for Jocks) at Cornell in the 60's. Nevertheless, I am willing to sound off on the significance of this latest press release.

I believe this release provides objective support for the Company's high expectations for the Corriente Copper Belt concept in general and, most notably, the next two targets in particular. Equally important, it reiterated CTQ's "vision" for the project. In doing so, management reminded us that the results from Warintza were completely consistent with their expectations for that prospect and, at least, implied that the market's reaction was unfounded.

Although I wanted to check out my interpretation of the press release with Henk Van Alphen, Corriente's Vice President, it turns out that by the time I got around to it, he'd already departed for Peru on a mission for Cardero Resources (V.CDU which also has an SI board if you're interested in gold prospects.) So, unfortunately, I can't guarantee that my thoughts reflect management's view.

As to the Stock Market's Reaction, I own enough of this puppy so that it's had a bad effect on my view of the world, but it hasn't caused me to be distressed enough to kick my dog or sell any stock. My best guess is that if this was all that dire, we'd have seen one hell of a lot more volume. In short, I believe the "PLAY" is still as it was initially described and, thus, there's no need for panic.
