Raymond, the Ginsu ad copy that you so kindly posted is actually kind of subdued compared to the hysterical Gilder junk mail I received. Here's an excerpt; the letter is signed by George Gilder, but I'm not sure if I'm the only recipient <g>: "...I'm telling you now that the coming PowerChip revolution represents the greatest profit opportunity we've seen so far! Better than watching $20,000 worth of Microsoft grow to $9.5 million? Yes... better than owning early Microsoft! Better than getting in on the IPO of Sun MicroSystems and having your initial $20,000 turn to $1.8 million!? By far! Better even than watching $20,000 worth of early-Intel turn to $37 million? Absolutely. Better even than that! I do not make these statements casually. This is not promotional hype [sic]."
