Teri, when I was younger, I used to worry about what will happen 5, 10, 20 years into the future. Later on I realized that I was so much pre-occupied with the distant future that I was overlooking and missing lots of opportunities at the present and near future!...Remember Orson, some months ago, was so worried about the negative effect the Rambus Chip will do to AMAT's furure? Well, I told him not to worry, wait a month to have a better perspective of things lest such worries prevent him from geting into good investment opportunities at hand. Recently, Orson posted something like he is not worried anymore because something was developed to challenge the Rambus Chip. I'm sure AMAT's management know how to cope with challenges to their future. In the meantime, their are so many good things going on for AMAT and the rest of the Semi-Equips....

The following may as will be an answer to Robert (Scott Diver).... who is worried about new and better technologies that are challenging INTC and MSFT markets...The fact of life is people are slow to embrace new and better things. More than 10 years ago, I was one of the first few to buy the Amiga Computer, something new and better and far ahead of its time. I used to paint in color, print my computer paintings in color while my neighbors, who used IBMs and Apples were painting and printing in Black and White!...I used to multitask with just 1 meg of memory, did videos complete with sound effects---all features that came later in the IBM and Apple platforms...But people were not ready for better things that time, only now are people doing in their computers what I've been doing 10 years ago...The superior Amiga is long gone but the IBM compatible is still alive and going strong!...
