Please fellas.

A registered investment adviser manages 'other' peoples money. Individual money managers are RIAs and do have reporting requirements related to performance etc. Brokers, of course are licensed as well though no performance reporting is required. Mutual funds have an entire law (Investment Company Act of 1940) that sets the basic rules for their industry.

Yes, GG gives advice and so do many clowns on many message boards. Some of it is good and some of it is bad. That is for the individual to decide.

Are you suggesting that GG or any other newsletter writer should be regulated????

If so, then why not regulate the financial press????

I have read some really stupid things in Barrons over the years. Abelson has been a big GRIZZLY BEAR for my entire career which has seen the Dow go from 800 to 11,000. Never an encouraging word from Mr.A. Should he be held accountable. Maybe we should start a class action against him....... Or Joe Granville who told us to 'sell everything' in 1981's version of BLUE MONDAY.

Didn't Prechter warn that the Elliot Wave wave was about to become an undertow at approximately Dow 4500?????

Sue him too.

The 'broken crystal ball' defense does not apply.

That's what we need:: More Litigation---have to keep those esquires busy.

It is a free country. You can express your opinion on any subject without the threat of being prosecuted.
It is the responsibility of the individual to interpret the advice and recommendations of the so-called market pundits.

This is true whether you are buying a house, stereo, car or a stock. You can rely upon yourself, a friend or a third party endorsement.

That is all that FAC, Bernard Levy, George Gilder and Michael Murphy are------3rd party opinions. If you don't like a person's opinion or don't agree, well, that is your perogative. Criticize the opinion on merit or ignore it. It is rather immature to attack the messenger.

Apparently, a lot of people value GG's opinions including yours truly. Many financial wizards promise to make you a small fortune if you would only give them a large one to start with........GG has made many large fortunes over the past 24 months from quite modest investments.

Best of luck

Regards

Bob
