Ticklish Tiger If you were an enterprise, you want to provide your employees with a network that allow them access to video, phone, and
data services, who do you call ? you know...NT! :)

BTW, your networks can be anything from X.25, FrameRelay, ATM, IP, Sonet, or telephony and everything else. On top
of that, you can apply policy services to your subscribers, monetize your bandwidth by differentiating levels of bandwidth
access.

this is NT board and I think not everybody is interested to
hear our arguments.
However, in IP/ATM or ATM, NT is not coming even close to NN.
Passport switching platform is for access and for enterprise, not core.
combination of FR, and x25 ( migration form x25 to FR) is biggest in Europe and NN dominates this market, despite its poor exacution in the past.
If you are SBC/Pronto who did you call for xDSL access-ALA, and for core ATT-NN.
What about C&W, France Telecom, Global One and British Telecommm-core ATM or IP/ATM goes to NN despite poor execution in the past.
Current market is booming for xDSL over ATM in N.America and Europe.
ALA controls over 50% shares of xDSL in Eu and N.America.
Who do you think RBOCs will take?-ALA DSLAms and NN 50/450
IP/ATM switch-router which interact perfectly.
Within the next few month you will hear about very! two large US contracts(SBC,MCI and Quest ) for ALA!!!.
ALA will hit over 7 billion in optics this year.
Sure behind NT, but still serious force, and number one is undersea optics.
NT dominates optics business, but other very high area
of growth like IP/ATM,xDSL and LMDS are and will be dominated by ALA/NN.
BTW, I own NT too.
If this is OK with you, I will write to you on this board in
3-5 months.
I think my point will be much more clear to you.......

Zbysalw
