I would appreciate your thoughts on "tipping" for lessons. I recently began a series of 5 (plus 1 "playing lesson") at a local course. The pro has been very helpful and encouraging and after 4 lessons and a lot of diligent work at the range, I'm hitting the ball crisper, cleaner and more consistant than I can remember. With his help ( i plan to continue working with him on an as needed basis through the season) my goal of breaking 85 seems very reachable this year. I currently play in the low 90's but I have had a number of rounds of 87 &88.
My question is this: What is,if any indeed exists, the proper etiquette regarding tipping the pro for his work? Do I tip him after the series of lessons? if so- how do I treat any future individual lessons? Finally what, if any is the "proper" amount?
Any and all thoughts are welcome.
