Khan ol' buddy- Don't forget I'm a gadget freak. Wasn't planning on switching until 1xrt came out but after checking it out, the Samsung is great. I use the Palm mostly for calendar and contacts anyway, and now carrying them both is unnecessary. The new phone is smaller, more comfortable, the display is better for quotes and web browsing, calling from the contact list is easy, already mentioned voice activated calling, vibrate ringer, this phone is well worth the $200 bucks. Anyway, I pay myself back every time I buy a Q chip.

I can tell you my palm will no longer be traveling with me.

This phone is going to sell tons. They ought to advertise it BIG TIME to show the world what it can do (especially the voice activation and calendar/contacts synching). It should be directly responsible for a lot of q chip sales and royalties. I'll bet it will outsell THE CDMA MOT STARTAC no problem.

The better phones get, the more people will be swapping, and the better for q investors. The Sprint stores are already sold out of the Samsung 8500 in SF, so I had to purchase mine at an independent store.

Oh, some other positives for the phone, in noisy environments, the earpiece covers your ear so it blocks out most of the outside noise. The clamshell design also fits my face better for both talking and listening.

Check it out.

Caxton
