Agree, I would list the following: MANDATORY MONTHLY READING: 1. GILDER TECHNOLOGY REPORT 2. SCIENTIFIC AMERICAN 3. MIT'S TECHNOLOGY REVIEW. Optional reading should include both: Popular Science and Popular Mechanics, once pretty decent publications, have been "dumbed" downed to 4th grade level. Apparently, advertisers willing to pay high rates for pre-middle school demographics. However, despite double spaced type and so forth, one can find good articles in both PS and PM, plus interesting product announcements.
