Have you considered giving her lessons?
She is a real tragedy. She loves to dance, but she just can't "get it" at our level. She has been dancing with us for about 3 years. In a normal ballroom situation, she would be considered a good dancer. At our level, she has a tough time getting a partner.
Very tall people, like myself, have a very tough time with swing. It works much better at 5'8 than 6'2".
A good 1/3rd of my favorite partners are professional dancers, trying to make a living in "the biz" here in Hollywood. For instance, 5 of the girls I dance with have a dance team that performs professionally here in LA, and practice on my dance floor every Thursday. Here is a picture of Tara Wood, who leads the dance team, and is one of my favorite partners, performing at Pointe 705 in Manhattan Beach last month. She is in a new movie being produced right now, with the working title of "The last dance".

(I apologize to any of the women on the thread who might get offended by my use of "girls". I live in a "retro" dance world, where that is acceptable usage.)
Many of the other 2/3rds could dance professionally. For those of you who know her, Edy is a professional, with a Masters in Dancing from UCLA, who is considered one of the top teachers of folk dancing in the the world. Picking up Lindy was a snap for her.
Many of the couples you see in the pictures of my party teach Lindy professionally all over the country.
My partners are much better than I. The guy has the advantage, because, for every man that can dance decent Lindy, there are 5 ladies available as good, or usually better.
That ratio, plus the fact that I am a much better lead than I am a dancer, lets me lead the life of my dreams.
