tero: Looking at the world as objectively as I can, it seems clear that GSMland will go to GPRS asap and CDMAland will go to 1XRTT asap. So the question is, then what? The sleeper IMO is HDR. Both CDMA/1XRTT and GSM/GPRS could find HDR useful for data prior to 3rd gen in new frequencies. What about EDGE, that seems less certain in GSMland but likely in TDMAland? And then when 3rd gen gets in place (wherever, however, and whenever) that is CDMA in some shape or form. That point is not lost on those thinking ahead. If where you are going is CDMA, why not get on that train sooner rather than later - especially if you save money and enhance data capacity and efficiency in the process? We live in interesting times. Best. Chaz
