Jeff, the part of the post below my signature is a cc from a post i got this morning from a guy at Lockheed. Jeff, I only use SGI boxes(except for a mac that doees some little chores) and i see myself only buying SGI boxes in the future. I'm just trying to raise awareness that GRAPHICS performance at every price point has to keep upping the stakes. Now that a reorg is in progress i'm yelling to make shure that marketing driven limits on desktop graphics are a thing of the past. they have the stuff, and they can put it in a desktop box if willing. i work at home so i don't want a tower next to my bed heating up the apartment. i want lots of desktop monsters in my livingroom. all my friends work this way. the Strauss brothers, 20 and 21 years old, just did 66 shots in "Volcano" including the helecopter shots, at home. on 12 SGI boxes, with fiber running out the window to the apartment below. this is a big chunk of SGI's future. we all want a healthy SGI to continue to trash wintel pretenders. vincent
