Dan:

Well, the issue is whether there is a big enough market, and if the market dynamics are such as to get you rich. It is not the hardware or the system: that is an engineers fantasy. (By the way, I am wincing as I say that....)

If there was a market there, someone would be providing services today. That is a fact of Darwinian capitalism. Another fact of Darwinian capitalism is you cannot evolve from stones to steel overnight. It will take another 50 years, or about two more generations, to take the third world into the 20th Century, let alone the 21st.

My friend, there is a reason they do not have phones: they cannot afford them! How much money do you therefore think they have?

...and for GG to miss that obvious fifty foot wall in the road is pretty gross...but he is not alone in that regard...Bernie and Norm and the boys at Mot missed it too.

My humble advice is there are a lot better stocks to invest in...short or long term...

BTW, I* covers literally the whole world, including the poles, which is why the US military contracts with them. And it can do it with full security as to encryption and location. G* does not cover the poles...and has about twice the bandwidth if I remember right...nits...
