Ron, et al, - I don't want to make too big a thing about my lack of bubbling enthusiasm, so tell me if my scholastic approach is unwarranted. I don't think I've seen the phrase "merger and acquisition inquiries" used too often. Indeed, a little time spent on LEXIS searching current news (and not just 'Business Wire'), company reports, M&A, and some other databases turned up darned few instances of <"inquiries" w/5 "merger or M&A" and date after 1999> while many instances of "offers" instead of "inquiries" pop up. Anybody know whether "inquiries" is a term of art, or is AQLA just being careful to report on some "informal overtures of some sort" (those are my words, of course) this close to the annual meeting?

Regards,
Harry J.
