Chris Bunka's 'Outsiders Overture' comments on Airbomb

Airbomb Marketing Inc. (AIR-cdnx), May 9: #200019: Rumored Financing.

I've heard from a source who is normally reliable that Airbomb (AIR) has received verbal committments for a financing of some $1.5 million. AIR confirmed that discussions are ongoing with more than one party but that no formal agreements had been signed. The company would not confirm the dollar value being discussed although it did not deny the $1.5 million figure when I mentioned it.

A financing of $1.5 million is not an earth-shattering event. But, if true, it would give the company substantial working capital and room to move. It would also likely provide a base for the stock price. I've observed many times in the past that a stock substantially off its highs often receives the benefits of a financing before once again strengthening in price.

The company has also stated several times in the past its intentions to concentrate on US capital markets. I believe it is in the process of obtaining a listing on a US stock exchange, almost certainly OTC, and becoming a Delaware company. A plan seems clear: arrange a financing now to carry the company's expansion plans forward while at the same time obtain the US listing in order to attract US investors and, eventually, US capital.

I've been writing for nine months that I believe one of the best ways to find success in the junior technology markets these days is to marry Canadian companies with US capital expertise. AIR seems to be doing this even while it operates a web site that generates real revenue. We are well past the proof of concept stage. I've liked the AIR story from the very beginning and I never believed that the earlier stock price gains were planned by the company. Instead, I always thought that AIR happened to benefit from the crazy tech. market that existed in February. This implies that the "planned-for" marketing push has not yet occurred. Because of all this I think that AIR is a company that has yet to see its best days. I view the current stock price as an opportunity.

Note: Chris Bunka owns 30,000 shares of AIR.
