Arcane technical question: Does cellular communication use VCO's because the frequency is varied as part of the transmission protocol? Or, is the variable frequency capability of the VCO simply used to precisely control transmission at one specific frequency? Also, anyone know a good web site with block diagrams and explanations of this type of stuff? Thanks - Joel
