My goodness!!!! That was absolutely atrocious Richard. I can't imagine who was so incompetent as to permit a journalist into an actual gold mine. And telling everyone that 600 people actually died in S. African gold mines last year, with 6,000 injured, and a 20 year veteran has a 1 in 2 chance of being permanently disabled and a 1 in 30 chance of being killed???!!!!! Someone's head should roll over this. That kind of stuff is very hush-hush.... y'know... kinda embarrassing don't ya think??? All that wasted life and human misery.... all over a shiny metal. I can see Mr. Rand rolling over in his grave right now.... "All this bloody trouble over a bunch of ignorant Kafers!!!...
