FYI: QQQ's

the fills on this security are extremely slow, it doesn't matter who or what broker you use. I've been trading the QQQ's since their inception (direct access) and the fill time has only gotten worse as the volume has increased. In general, the AMEX Specialist will hold your order and decide which way the market is going and then fill your order to his best advantage ... any questions? This is the one security that I believe would benefit the most by removing the Specialist and making all order matching completely electronic. Specialist are great IMO, they make a lot of thinly traded stocks tradable, but not in the case of the QQQ's. I have found that the best way to trade this security is to increase your time frame (5 min to 15 min) and forget about the quick scalps.

Regards,

Dave
