Yes, that's sounds familiar but it's not the origin of the term, it's the origin of the myth. Unless that early 50's television program host was in the computer loop and assumed his audience was, then he is on video tape (a taped broadcast) coining the term bug and I don't think that's the case. So the intuitive thinking that says system "bug" was already in the vernacular before they started using it in software or hardware is validated by that captured video tape. In other words, the attempt to help immortalize Grace Hopper (like she needed help) in the coining of the term "bug" is horse doo.

On another note, more evidence that INPR management is asleep at the wheel. While they were busy gettting fleeced the window is closing on their world-class software engineering efforts. The best thing that could happen to INPR shareholders when this deal is voted down is to have Fuller resign. Will somebody who understands this industry please stand. I don't mean smug executives who've read a few magazine articles, I mean somebody who really gets it.

Who is buying the Inprise Application Server? If they are not selling tens of millions then they need to stop playing games and connect with somebody who is. Stop trying to fool investors and lead the company.

BEA WebLogic Server 4.0 is most closely integrated with Symantec's Visual Caf‚ Enterprise Suite, which simplifies the development and deployment of Enterprise JavaBeans (EJB) components on BEA WebLogic Server. Additional Java integrated development environments (IDEs) that support BEA WebLogic Server include IBM Visual Age, Borland JBuilder, and Microsoft Visual J++. BEA WebLogic Server customers can also use other EJB and Java-based development tools, as well as leading Web publishing tools such as Macromedia's Dreamweaver.
