Isn't it sad that the art of letter-writing in general, and, of course, love-letter-writing in particular, is such a lost art? Will anyone ever tenderly tie a well-read stack of emails with grosgrain ribbon?

One would wish for a more poetic translation of the Goethe, but it is lovely nonetheless. I've been reading two recent Wall Street tell-alls, and the view of women is somewhat different, to say the least.

I wonder which has changed more in the last two centuries, men's view of women, or women's view of men?
