Deal Calls for NewKidCo to Develop and Market Games for Existing and "Next Generation" Hardware Platforms Burlington, MA (May 15, 2000) Children's video game publisher NewKidCo International Inc. (OTC BB: NKCIF; TSE: NKC) announced today they have entered into a multi-year agreement with Universal Studios Consumer Products Group and Amblin Entertainment to develop and publish interactive entertainment titles based on the classic property, E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial.
NewKidCo has obtained the rights to publish interactive game content for video game and PC platforms including PlayStation© game console, PlayStation© 2, Sega Dreamcast, Nintendo's Dolphin, Game Boy© Color, Game Boy Advance, Microsoft's X-box, and PC as well as dedicated console and PC accessories.
"We are very pleased and excited by the opportunity to work with Universal Studios and Amblin Entertainment to reintroduce this perennial favorite through the new interactive technologies", stated Hank Kaplan, President of NewKidCo.
