FT -- Back a few years, we discussed this and came to the conclusion that two kinds of hornies exist:

1. Arousal due to the presence of a potentially desirable partner, and

2. Arousal due to high horniemonal levels, or "juice", in which quite a few potential partners appear desirable.

Kids, of course, have a lot more #2 than older adults do.

But just from what I've read in the last hundred or so posts, the stark differences in expectations, needs, fears and cultural (not so much "moral") contextual differences among adults indicate what a dicey situation sex (or the expectations/fallout from the sexual act) can be for kids.
