Re: AMD is quite capable of making such a chipset as they are far less complex than CPUs. True enough. However, it takes time to do a new chipset and new motherboards and to put the whole shebang through system tests. I do not believe it can be done in 3 months. 6 months would be pushing it. As INTC experience with the 820 board indicates these new platforms have to go through a full test cycle including configuration testing. It looks like AMD is already in trouble on this new product. Meanwhile, Willy is breathing down AMD back.
