Hi Kumar,

As one of the few unreconstructed optimists who felt Echelon would double this year, I remain on Tornado Watch, and from my reading of the rfm, I feel that its tornado is on the near horizon. "Tornados occur when--and only when--a new value chain comes into existence....A value chain is a linked set of products and services that delivers something of value to an end customer." (p182 rfm)

Echelon's product offerings are where the gorillas live. According to the rfm, the middle of the value chain tends to be occupied by service providers who help integrate muiltiple products for eventual sale to end users. (p 183) This describes the Echelon-Enel deal. Once this deal is finalized, and when--not if--but when other deals are announced, 40% sequential growth is a real possibility.
