I am considering a starter position. 1. Does SNDK generate revenues via patents and product? yes and yes. 2. Do they compete against Sony and their memory stick. You should be looking at that the other way round. Sony is a recent start up in this field and is competing not just with Sandisk but all the many digicam and MP3 players who use CF or MMC. 3. I was in BestBuy and noticed FlashMemory everywhere. Does SNDK have a product that the new MP3 players use? Hell yes! That is why, notwithstanding the recent drop in price, its as high as it is. MP3 has driven it much more than digicams. This year, other things will also contribute, PDAs and possibly also cellphones (I'm somewhat sceptical about that, I havent actually seen a cellphone with flash yet) Joe
