I have previously heard the opinion that China has just been yanking QCOM's chain for MFN. I do not see how outsiders could have a perspective on this (other than that the overwhelming evidence heretofore in China has been pro-GSM), but it seems that the industry will not be too surprised. QCOM, and QCOM investors, may be surprised, though. Well, just you wait: the huge Chinese GSM network is just one huge opportunity for a cdma2000 overlay!
