I have to side with The Chief on this one. Some folks' minds don't work in such a way that they carefully collect pieces of data and study each piece of paper over and over and try to arrange them in different patterns to find meaning in them. They do all of this in their head without stopping to note where the underlying inputs come from or even what they were. So track Chief's record and based on that you can use his insights or not as you choose. But don't load dead weight on his mental processes by having him do his work in a way his brain is not wired for.
