Amy, the Sun thread has heated up and is a good forum for discussion of the various server types. About "one of ours" going over there (about IA-64 I assume) I don't think we can beat the drum too much until McKinley based servers come out. Sure, Itanium will be important as a benchmark chip in proving IA-64 will run 64 bit OSs and applications, and provide solutions, etc., but I don't think it's going to eat into Sun revenues at all. Again, McKinley, next year.

As for Dell eating into Sun's server biz, I agree with this poster from Raging Bull:
