My point about the effect of dilution taking more than a quarter to work out is this:

When you have the dilution that we have seen (sudden and a lot), the comps (year over year) will show the dilution effect for four quarters (four quarters need to be reported in order to get a reasonable comparison).

Regarding dead money, I will say that I got a lot of heat for buying financials over the last three months, and guess what? Those ideas are up 20% plus (look at CCR today). My point is that no one really knows when a stock will move for sure (althought folks sure seem to think so!). The idea is to buy businesses at a discount to their value (thus a purchase of financials). VARL easily could get back on the race track with just a few things happening.

As always, I do not want to be out of this stock.
