Joe, and all who have share info / links / experiences with me.

I made the trip to the Camera stores and I found it very helpful to have someone knowledgeable talk about the pro's and con's of different features. I found the memory discussion most illuminating. Based upon my field trip, I have definitely decided to go with cameras that use CF.

I also found that us.buy.com seemed to have the best prices of the stores I searched.

For easy feature comparison I found us.buy.com to be the easiest to use and have the most comprehensive list of features.

Since I am giving the camera to my son I planning to give him a choice from the following list:

Nikon Coolpix 950 ($689)
Epson PhotoPC 850Z ($620)
Canon S20 ($669)

Obviously the Epson and Nikon have better optical specs, but the size and simple handling attributes of the S20 plus 3.3MP are key usage points.

If any one would care to share an opinion that may help guide us, I would appreciate it.

Sunny
