"Unhappy folks make for an unhappy company." Unhappy yes, until the next bonus check comes in and the stock price goes up another $20. Not happy then.. but at least appeased... You know we blast management for being so unfeeling/unloyal to employees. But truthfully, how loyal are most IS folks now days? When I was still a FT employee I would be at a company a good 3 years and ALWAYS be the longest term employee there! I have a friend who regularly changes jobs every 6 months and think nothing of it! We've turned into a pack of contract 'employees'. Hired guns. Little loyalty. Usually the contract folks are there longer than the employees! Why not just make everyone a 'contract' employee and call them for what they are.. hired guns. Sorry to get 'preachy' .. just a pet peeve of mine... :) i.e. lack of care, concern, loyalty on both sides of the fence...
