Good info on the Lucent connection. Yes, splits are announced sometime after approval from the board of directors. They must approve the split. My guess is if the market holds up reasonably well on Thurs/Fri, we should see a split later this week or early next week. A 3:1 would be a blockbuster but based upon their last split, its probably a 2:1. I am not in it for the split, but it tends to attract the monetum players. I am in it for the potential buyout from Lu, Csco, or Glw. If Cisco buys the company, I will happily exchange my shares for Cisco's.
