Just talking heads, bob. Of course the CEO of a competing health firm is going to say that the alliances are just "clubs".

He is talking brave but he is full of shit. The DOJ is going to take a close look at these "alliances" over the summer. They already announced workshops to discuss the pending alliance between car manufacturers. That will be a model for looking at other large groups of businesses banding together to common purchasing power.

Of course, the official company line is that there will be no discussion of pricing and other informaiton with monopolistic overtones. They will form a new entity staffed by independent management. Funny, but nothing has been announced about CEO, funding, etc. I say the DOJ doesn't buy this line. The DOJ is triumphant in the MSFT case, they will be happy to enter a new target rich environment.

I say PCLN has noting to fear from the airlines and HLTH nothing to fear from the Blues.
